Here's Why the Price Of The iPhone 13 Series Smartphones Are So High In India

The price of the iPhone 13 series costs more in India as compared to other nations. It's almost double as compare to what the new iPhone 13 series cost in Apple's home country.

Apple has launched the new iPhone 13 series smartphones and customers across the globe are now waiting to get their hands on it at the earliest. The unfortunate part is, some buyers from certain regions will have to end up spending more than buyers in the United States and other nations.

Premium smartphones like iPhones are not manufactured in India. They are imported in India, which means buyers have to pay 22.5% of customs duties on the smartphones. Not only that, but buyers will also have to pay 18% GST in addition to the customs.

So, if you are planning to buy the Apple iPhone 13 mini, you need to know that you would need to pay a total of Rs. 21,543 as tax. If you purchase an Apple iPhone 13, you will have to pay Rs. 24,625 as taxes. You would have to pay a total of Rs. 36,952. as taxes when you purchase the Apple iPhone 13 Pro. For Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max buyers will have to pay a tax of Rs. 40,034.

The taxes on iPhone 13 remain the biggest reason for the variation in price. However, this year's offers are yet to be announced. iPhone 13 series will go on sale on September 24 in India.
