Apple announces a new launch event on 18th october
Apple has announced a new launch event just after a month of its annual iPhone lunch event which is to be held on 18 October 2021. It will be an online launch event that can be seen on YouTube, Apple.com, and the Apple TV app. The launch event will stream live at 10:30 PM IST.
Apple is highly expected to launch new MacBooks, Mac Mini, and Airpods 3.
Several reports claim that Apple will be launching the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros which will both be powered by Apple's most advanced M1X processor which is a successor to the M1 processor which will be a boost to the M1 chip. M1X chips will be replacing Intel's i5 and i7 processors. The upcoming MacBooks could also feature a 120Hz Mini-LED display. It is also believed that MacBooks will be returning with other features like magnetic MagSafe charging, an HDMI port, and an SD card slot. However, the OLED touch bar might be removed.

According to some rumors, the next-gen Mac Mini will also be powered by the new M1X processor and will be having more ports than the current Mac Mini M1 which would be two Thunderbolt / USB 4 Type-C and two USB Type-A ports.
Apple may also announce the next-gen of Airpods, i.e. Airpods 3. These are expected to have the same design as Airpods Pro but with a shorter stem and a redesigned charging case.
