What Is A Cloud And How Is It Different From Cloud Computing?

In this modern world, if anything is associated with the internet, then safety becomes our primary concern. For example, you can think of iCloud from Apple or Google Drive from Google. They have a very user-friendly user interface that allows an individual or a business to upload its files, documents, and other important stuff securely.

Cloud storage saves your data across redundant servers, so even if one of the data centers gets collapsed, your data will be controlled by the other data centers, which makes your data secure and supervised. Cloud storage saves your data across redundant servers, so even if one of the data centers gets collapsed, your data will be controlled by the other data centers, which makes your data secure and supervised. By using cloud storage, multiple users can work on a common file. For example, you can give access to your files to multiple users so they can access and edit your file. An authorized person can access your file from any part of the world in real-time. Now let's understand what a cloud is.

What is Cloud?

The "cloud" is just a metaphor for the internet. It refers to the combination of network, hardware, software, interface, and storage that combines and delivers cloud computing as a service throughout the planet.

What is cloud computing?

Cloud computing means storing and accessing data. Cloud computing service is truly global and includes no border or geographical restrictions as such. Cloud computing is not about is your physical hard drive. When you store data on or run programs from the hard drive, that's called local storage and computing. Everything you need is physically close to you, which indicates accessing your data is fast and easy, for that one computer, or others on the local network. With the help of an online connection, cloud computing can be done anywhere, anytime.

Cloud computing is big business. Cloud computing works by allowing client devices to access data over the internet, from remote servers, databases, and computers. There is an entirely different "cloud" when it comes to business. Some businesses choose to implement Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), where the business subscribes to an application it accesses over the internet.

There's also Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), where a business can create its own custom applications for use by all in the company. And don't forget the mighty Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), where players like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Rackspace provide a backbone that can be "rented out" by other companies. (For example, Netflix is a customer of the cloud services at Amazon.)

Some of the most popular examples of cloud computing are google drive, iCloud, and Dropbox.
